Yeah! saw the gang at Winterland in SF 1977 (first time) and me and my friend said HOLY SHIT those guys kick ASS. Suppers Ready!!! I was a junior. Peter you were lucky to see one of the best bands ever. Saw them in San Jose last November,,,,,,

I am so lucky I got to see Steve Hackett with Genesis in Nashville in 1977, my senior year.

i've got several solo attempts by all memebers and the original group was above the average rocker.that said hackett has some very artsy stuff but gabriel leaves me cold as a stone.the group reminds me of fleetwood mac.members came and went with a few corre members and much abrasion,which always came out in the music----some good some but most iteresting.think what you want but what if it never happened at all.ripples reminds me of a beauty i loved who seemed sad.i miss her

Well, music is not an instrument nor a musician, music is a part of life, Rhythm, sound and silence, is a way to communicate and it doesn't matter if it's done by a guitar, a piano, a human voice, a drum, a clap sound, or an electronic instrument. The problem is not computers that's just a new instrument, the problem are the companies that produced music by a recipe, not trying to communicate but instead to create standards to consume. Try Kraftwerk, Tangerine dream or mike Oldfield.
