The best way to combat the mainstream media from taking over the Internet is to buy music/movies/magazines/newspapers only from alternative media like Thinkfilm, Lionsgate, Weinstein etc. and sell/trade any DVDs, books, and CDs you have from the big 6 media conglomerates. Don't use myspace or IGN which are owned by Fox. If they have no money there isn't much they can do to take it over.

I do like Moby's sense of humor though. I read in one interview that although he is a vegan by choice he isn't militant and doesn't force it on others. He also made fun of how trendy and fake Hollywood is. He talked about how people he meets in LA will say things like "oh, I am a vegan too, but I still eat sushi and lean chicken".

Why is it that people (I don't want to say Liberals because I am very liberal on most social issues), let's call them "people that use the word Fascist incorrectly and far too often" never give the "Fascist" US Department of Defense credit for the Internet existing at all and handing it over for free to the world. That was the greatest contribution to computing in human history. Read about DARPA and ARPANET. |
