well they had grown together so much that there would be conflict between them. the only reason why sisterhood was stressed was because in the beginning of the series they had not talked to each other in a long time and then paige came along and they had to learn how to be with each other. after that piper got her own family and phoebe got a career and paige was soul searching. there was nothing flat about them the way they were portrayed, unless you only pay attention to a couple of episodes.

I mean, for three sisters who nearly died defeating the Source, who seemed to be weaker than the four I mentioned above, it doesn't seem they should have faced against so many powerful villains and have survived.Just my take. :)And I heard that Phoebe at one point acquires Empathic Mimicry, the ability to duplicate an enemy's ability by being near them. Is this true? 0o because, if it is, I'd argue that that is incredibly overpowered. :\

And my point about them becoming too powerful wasn't aimed at their ability progression, mind you ;)After finally defeating the Source at the end of season 4, every main villain from then on the girls encountered and defeated, had been insanely overpowered and near unstoppable. Cole, the Demon of Fear, Zanku, the Avatars. The Elders, themselves, were given god-like powers, which Leo received when he became an Elder.

Season 4, I feel, did the best job with the good vs evil concept, as there was the introduction of Paige and her struggle with the evil of her past life, and the witch she almost became. Also, there was the death of Prue that the sisters had to overcome, while desperately trying to protect themselves from the Source. After that season though, all of the drama seemed to be coming at the sisters, as opposed from within them.

The problem, though, was that for a show which originally stressed the importance of family bonds - to switch the theme halfway through the series to "good will always overcome evil in the end" switched the importance from their relationship as sisters to their powers as witches. I found this rather made all their characters one dimensional, as there was little internal conflict - only external. |
