That's a pretty old chipset, therefore the socket is outdated so that will not work with the quad. If it's a nforce 420 chipset I dought there's a pci-express slot maybe agp.

Depending on the res you want to play at a 9800gt should be good for anything under 1280x1024, if your looking to go higher then that try a hd 4850 or 9800 gtx. Nvidia cards play better in crysis so that might be your best choice.

no way dude, that cpu is pretty good and it does reckognize the 3rd core if it didnt it wouldnt multitask so well.
poopguypenis2 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The CPU is bottlenecking the card. Triple core isn't a good decision, just because of Windows not recognizing the third core/utilizing it.Get a 6000+ or a Phenom 9550.

I've had it overclocked to 2.5ghz but i only saw a difference in low resolutions, I've got a hd4850 now so I play at higher res now.Crysis is gpu bound at 1280x1024 and above, so it doesn't improve my framerate at all.
