Intelligent Design?

From the tales of Ancient Mesopotamia to the powerful gods of the Egyptians. The mighty Greeks to the far off Aztecs. We see reports in ancient mythologies of mysterious beings that descended from the heavens. More specific gods with the credit of knowledge, healing, life and mans creation. For some reason, all these "gods" are always pictured with or near some type of coiled serpent, water/bucket of life, or the tree of life. these symbols of knowledge and medicine has stuck with mankind from the days of the Sumerian's.Can there be a correlation between these images of coiled snakes and human DNA? Was there truly a "Intelligent Interference"?. Meaning humans did evolve here but at some point in time was "altered" in the image of the gods?Please take these images to heart. Note the similarities in all. Then please think of the distance involved with some of these peoples. The Aztecs were nowhere near any of these cultures. Yet similar depictions are there as well.Were these actual gods, extraterrestrials, or simple human imagination that infected the world?I leave u with a tale from ancient Egypt.The story is about the gods Set, Osiris, Isis(Osiris' wife) and Thoth.Set was in dispute with Osiris over who ruled the lands. Set killed the mighty god Osiris to acquire his domain and be the dominant god. Isis brought the body to Thoth. Thoth revived him. Set killed him a second time. this time chopping him up. Isis was in despair. Osiris can no longer be revived and she has no heir to claim the lands of his father. so the lands we officially Sets. Thoth took from a limb of osiris. The "essence of osiris" And placed it in Isis womb. She gave birth to an heir Horus. Horus was the rightful heir, Seth lost his control.

The Heavens are endlessly vast - did any of these so-called gods actually create the Heavens? I don't think so. The God of the Bible informs us that He is "uncreated" (has always existed eternally) and created the Heavens itself and lives outside of time and space.

To that I offer my own opinion, "It takes more faith to believe in nothing than it does to believe in something because it's impossible to prove a negative but a something that is unproven still has hope yet".

Well, cggeek stating that ancient egyptians came before sumerians is completely false. Sumer is the birthplace of mankind & Egyptian civilization came afterward. Just stating the obvious here though.

Apparently, just because some cultures, far apart, develop technology and symbolism similar to each other, this is supposed to point to UFO's and Aliens.Guess our ancestors are not given credit for coming up with these things themselves. There were great thinkers and engineers in their times as well. The also had a need to explain things around them. That's the symbolism. How does the sun fly across the sky? What holds it up? Where does it go at night? What happens when we die? Angels?
