No, thats the smiley face. In the scene with the shit Happens, He is running along and the guy runs up and talks to him about his trouble in the bumper sticker business. As he does They jump over a huge pile of dog shit. The guy goes. Wow you just went over a big pile of dog shit. Which forrest replies, It happens. The guy goes Shit, as he stops. Forrest then says.. SOMETIMES. after that the scene changes. to the bumper sticker

actually thats just part of the movie. after that scene where the guys looks on. the scene changes to a trucks bumper having a Bumper sticker readin "Shit Happens" as the dumper moves away as the truck drives off. All of a sudden the truck gets struck by a car

I saw, it may have been a bad editing splice. Forest Gump created that slogan in the movie, I think a truck goes by during the run and he gets covered in mud and simply says it happens. (maybe he says shit happens but i think not), it inspires someone to make the bumper stickers that say it.
