it has 16 steps, but that's only one pattern, you can sequence patterns, one after the other into a song. So you could have 32 steps if you wanted

Warning. It's limited to only a 16 step sequencer. Why can't you go up to 32??? That would make much more sense and it wouldn't be difficult. You can only create repetitive 4 beat patterns on it. I was pretty disappointed.

This kind of dampened my hope for the KORG DS10... If that's what a prop can do with it...

If setup properly it can compliment other gear. but having 4 sets of DS+Carts as shown in this video is not practical and not cost effective either. At $129 (walmart) each, thats over $500, and that doesnt include the price of the cart. You can get decent Analogue Synths from Ebay for less. The built in sequencer could have been made more robust.

Exellent, cheap way of getting a sequencer on the go. The sync is brilliant as well. :)

I agree the sound is thin and the filters just arn't dirty like a Korg. But maybe with a better sequence with some controld modulation it could sound better. I'm getting one of these things, but I wonder how I sync it to real world controlers and clocks.
