right. i seem to have not expressed myself correctly. I don't like this song. i dont like its sentiment. i think that what it is saying regarding its subject matter is better expressed with anger. i like sad music, infact it's probably my favorite sort of music, i like sad love songs. but songs about how bad things are politically should have more spirit i think. having said that robert wyatt has written some great sad political songs, so really i should just shut up. listen to wyatt,he's good

I probably would've accepted it if you had simply said that the song just doesn't appeal to you, but to say that the only emotions music should be allowed to invoke are HAPPINESS and ANGER is rather odd. SADNESS is simply another emotion that music can express. That's the whole point of music, really, to make you feel some sort of emotion. Just because you prefer being angry doesn't mean that an entire genre is pointless, just that it's not your cup of tea. So go sip your cup over there.

your right actually, it's that happy go luck music that's really doing my head in! I've had the feelings album on repeat the last month and I'm close to killing myself! I'll try some lenny cohen, that I'll put the smile back on my face.

its funny when people say this, when in fact most people who listen to happy go lucky music are some of the most miserable people you'll ever meet. and you are a perfect example :)
