I know a fuckload about death metal actually. The reason most death metal can match up to jazz is because like Roddy,they started out as jazz drummers. Seen it,and it is really awesome. Check out some Danny Carey though,the whole out of time thing impresses me.

I actually just died laughing at the concept of Joey Jordison being considered an even vaguely passable drummer. As far as I'm concerned,he's up there with Travis Barker. Do yourself and the rest of the world a favour and die.

i do belive i saw jazz solo done by derek...it was pretty cool you should check it out...yeah i hate when people are like that...they compare drummers from different styles of music..or different styles in themselves..its retarded.
