I wouldnt say that louie's a failure as a vampire i just dont think he really wanted to be one,i mean come one lestat kind of forced him into it, making it sound like being a vampire is the most wonderful thing in the world and then once louie found out you had to kill humans to live he hated it.

This is actually mildly insulting. Louis is nothing like Lestat, Louis is a failure of a vampire. Lestat even says so, I dont know which novel it was though. He is only remotely like Lestat beginning at the end of Merrick. And only because he falls in love with a human. Thats. It.

I have to say, I had read the novel(s) before I had even heard of the movie(Though I did read them after the movie came out) But when I found out it was Tom and Brad I almost didn't watch, but I really do think that they did fantastic jobs, could have been better, but it's pretty hard to 100% nail a book character, since the script is a big part of it.
