pescincanna you're right. at least in this era you could actually understand the words. And the performers didn't have to scream the songs. Great harmony and backup music. Rare to find today. And this group has been around longer than 25 years and the music is still great and understandable. You can actually dance with a partner holding you instead of trying to "grind" on the dance floor.

toddwikkk is quick to judgement and could find acceptance to everything in life, Your looking too far ahead and yes everything changes but the memories will stand, more meaningful than todays music.

This song came to mind at the gym this morning after sometime and I will love it forever. Just saw the video today Sunday, it's been years. Why can/can't young singers or bands make feel good music such as this one, I guess they have to get older first, anyway, I know a joanna from way back. Thanks Kool and the Gang!

Oh my gosh, I love this song! This was my first record, in 1983, my mom bought it for me on LP because my name is Joanna, I must have listened to it hundreds of times.
