I saw Phil just this past friday at wheaton college - great show - and funny - i was looking at his left pinky - he has small hands, but the way they are made lend themselves to the crazy reaches he makes. Check out the distance between the two knuckles on that pinky of his. Mine is like half that size - making the reaches he makes on the fretboard hurt! lol.

Its turning out to be a challenge. The tough part I'm finding is getting a clean swipe at both strings with my fingers, which are rather fat. I'm still tinkering. The sound is quite different. I'll post if I can get beyond a half assed sound.

I wouldn't recommend that on a 12 string. Actually I don't think I've ever heard or seen Phil Keaggy use a 12 string. Nothing wrong with em but this song isn't built for it.
