My God...I've owned this recording for years, on LP and now CD and it's still one of my absolute favourites. But watching this video and seeing how much effort goes into the playing is absolutely brain-frying. I am lost in my admiration for the late Mr Richter. Superlative performance.

The stops were changed just when the organist had his hands free (see also Kauffmann's and Agricola's stops advices). The registration in Baroque era was an art itself and the freedom was absolute. |
