Wow, bad memories, but good film. I was with the 25 Inf Div. They droped us in the cholon section of Siagon at daybreak when tet started. I was only 19 years old.

its not that you wernt trained its just that kennedy, johnson, and nixon are all soo naive and percieve the u.s. as the only world power .... but if they just thought about the war and learned the lessons of the french then it might of been different

Most of you pot heads dont understand.The South Vienam was under a invasion of the North Vietnam. The South was our ally. We couldnt just sit by while they died. and let the North Spread. So we send help. But we wasnt trained for the jugle wars. Thats why we lost so many.All you hippies go fuck yourself. no one wants you zIMO!

in my vietnam class we have ppl come in and they talk about there experiences in the war. we had a guy come in today n he was part of the tet offensive when he was 19. he almost broke down when asked about it. sounds like a bad question but he said that it helps him with the PTSD that he suffers from til this day. great man, i respect every1 who was there wheather they wanted to go or not, some never had a choice but they did what they had to do. and i think everyone else should feel the same.

As a Recruit that is going to Recruit Training to become a US Marine, it makes me proud as an American and a member of the Corps to see these Marines fight in battles like these...
