It was written by the New Orleans Rhythm Kings in 1923, and all 8 band members had a hand in it. It was resurrected in 1953 by Jo Stafford as a pop hit called "Make Love to Me."

Yes, they were brothers. Lester, was also my uncle. They owned Melrose Publishing Co, but my father was not involved in the business.
