Well at least these marching band members are getting some exposure to this piece vs. none at all. If it was done well this show could be amazing to watch and maybe even send a HUGE ripple through the marching band community--just like it did to the music/ballet community in Paris for it's premire. So I wouldn't go as far as to say that it "wasn't meant for marching bands".

I love people who compare Rite of Spring to a Marching Band. Good job. Some things in this world are not meant for Marching Bands.

This piece is amazing! our marching show for my high school is playing stuff from this movement.. starting with the flute trill and most of the beginning stuff. its awesome. but DEFINATELY not as good as this, oh baby!!

This my my absolute favorite piece- I march in a college drumline (so don't tell) haha. But I kno an 8 yr old boy who looks EXACTLY like the conductor

Yes indeed, Lucas actually used that as the temp score when he showed John Williams, that's why it's evidently so influenced in Episode IV.
