J'ai vu cette vidéo en français, elle est très bien faite, message très fort de la guerre.

It is the same basic concept i think. A meaningless stalemate that continuously consumes resources to ensure a steady and stable demand for manufactured goods.

This was my favorite of the three. I was sad to see it was dismissed by a lot of critics.

This episode always seems to remind me of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, but slightly more surreal.

One thing people rarely notice about this excellent movie is that the whole thing is done in a continuous panning shot, with no camera jumps EVER. Combining this with the fact that they used the old fashioned static background method of animation, while still maintaining a sense of depth during movement, is nothing short of miraculous. Katsuhiro is always breaking new ground, and this is quite possibly some of his best work.
