it's hard to sing so passionetely w/out using body motion. it's just a part of singing like facial expression. mariah's hand motion is a little more erratic these days but it's all good.

Btw, people are not flowers, so "prime" is a difficult word anyway. Some artists sing better at a higher age, some don't. Thx and Merry Christmas!

Hello! Vision of Love 1990,[This Song 1991], Anytime You Need A Friend 1993, Hero 1993, Endless Love 1994 (with L. Vandross),..."Prime" of a superstar like M.Carey can be assumed to last longer than a few months. So within a couple of years, the second year can still be deemed to the beginning. Can you name some hit-single-songs of her before Vision of Love? Regards

This wasn't the beginning of her prime! This was the end of it. I actually think her Christmas album is the last one where her voice blows me away. The 'Mariah Carey' album, Emotions, MTV Unplugged and Music Box all blow me away! She started slipping after those albums and I slipped away as a fan! I still love her though!

"Cover" I would normally define as a re-singing of a famous song by a different artist, like an 80s song becoming a rap-song, or a 70s one becoming techno today. Here, I would maybe define it as a blues-reinterpretation of an ecclesiastical choral. Is there a better word for what I mean with "Cover", then let me know please. |
