Being an Atheist is depressing??? It's less Selfish. How about this one for ya brother. I don't Live for just me. I live for the ones I love as well as me. I live to make tomorrow a better day for my son or for someone I love younger than me. That's how I'll die. With gratification that tomorrow will come and be better than yesterday. Now what's depressing about that? No tomorrow for me? *chuckle* Why worry when it shouldn't matter? Think of others for once my friend ;)

Excuse me for believing in something that has actual evidence to back it up. Believing in a "high power" for which there is no evidence is completely irrational. Also, go fuck yourself for implying that atheists lack character.

there's no such thing as official religion of the USSR. the USSR being a communist bloc condemned religion being, as Marx said, the "opium of the people", so no, Catholicism could NOT have been the official religion of the USSR. please brush up on your history before YOU start ranting. thanks

Here is the thing, it is way easier to not have faith than to believe in anything these days. It takes someone with character to believe in a higher power. Being an atheist would be incredibly depressing. People with faith at least have a backup plan even if atheists are right, but if they are wrong, they are damned I guess...
