GNU/linux + xorg-x11 + compiz-fusion + GNU Network Object Model Environment ect is a mouthful :)i use gentoo GNU/Linux :)

it depends if you using a swap partition.. if you are, 1GB is Fine.. if you are not better go to 2GB.Linux,Gnome and Compiz, gobble up about 300MB, if you allocate 700MB to xp that would take about 1GB.. but then you would have no breathing room.. thats why 2gb or a swap is reccomended :)

Puppy is a good one...I also like tiny me, which is really easy to install. There's also Feather and a few more. DSL I am assuming is the most stable out of all the lightweight distros. I just saw a youtube vid with puppy running compiz!!! I had no idea you could do that! |
