People who did not experience New York and Chicago in the 80's and 90's have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that what is called house music was heard everywhere. It wasn't until, and I'm going to get a lot of shit for saying this, the British hijacked it as their own and decided to hack it up with continuous labeling and categorizing that all of these myths about house music being invented or created (there was no recipe or formula) surfaced.

It's kind of viewing things narrowly to say that house music was "created" by anyone. House music evolved, and was possibly brought to attention by Frankie Knuckles, but there were other DJ's in Chicago at that time that were experimenting with sounds the same way Frankie did. Lil Luis, Ron Hardy. You can not say that Frankie is anymore responsible for the literally thousands of tracks that were being produced at that time, both in Chicago and New York.

That's Chicago House you dumbass ignorant, it's the prototype of house music created by the "Godfather of House" Frankie Knuckles in the 70'ies-80'ies in the notorious Warehouse in Chicago.
