hydrogen is my first choice for the future... i dont like electric engines because i love cars

you burn fossil fuels to create hydrogen fuel so i dont really see any difference between this and petroleum.

i wouldn't mind driving a hydrogen car. if they had it at my local gas station, and if were just as cheap.. i think that's the reason people don't drive em as much.. if they were to make a reliable car that can run on hydrogen car.. similar to the one in this video.. competitively priced, i would buy one.

In 8 years Bush adminstration abused its power to desive the public in the US to belive global warming wasn't for real. As reported in 60 Minutes no scientist in governmental agencies got to express belive in global warming, its cause and what it would mean in the long run! Both Bush and Chaney had strong ties to oil indusrty... No Kyoto Protocol. So it isn't so surprising that you get to hear that a degree here or there is not so important or that there are still polar bears in North Pole...

Hydrogen is not abundant by itself. Under current electrolysis methods, it takes 4 parts electricity to separate enough hydrogen to drive a generator to recreate one part electricity. This is a horrible exchange rate. It takes nearly 50 kw/hr of electricity to produce 1 kilogram of hydrogen. Hydrogen is abundant, but you have to seprate it first.Laws of physics: it takes less energy to put molecules together than to separate them. That's physics and chemistry, not politics.

Global Warming my butt. We don't need an appocalypse to screw up our civilization. A few bad winters, a few dry summers and half the world would be starving. It takes VERY little to wreck us right now. We are too many and too interdependent. How many million barrels of oil do we burn in the world everyday? Like 20? While every day we cut trees and turn the jungles into farmland. Something is gonna give someday soon.We need clean energy and less polution. We can even make a profit.

Global warming is happening and it is related to man-made CO2. I am quiet certain nothing I can say here will serve any purpose in changing your mind or motivating you to seek additional information. There is no question Earth goes thorough cycles of GW naturally, however it is the first time in its history that the CO2 is at these levels. The issue isn't that Earth is getting warmer, it's the speed and ferocity with which it will execute this cycle.I am done with this thread. Good luck.

i still stand be hind my statement o taxing gas to $7 a gallon is a stupid one we are not Norway U.S.A effectively runs the world Norway is not doing one tenth of the business that we are per capita. a large part of the financial crisis to day had to do with high fuel cost. and now the rest of the world is suffering to because we took one on the chin.

i am not convinced globule warming is happening. the earth goes through climental changes all the time in the 1970's snow would pile up 20 feet tall and the common thought was that a ice age was starting. if you learn astronomy you can see other planets do the same thing ur planet is remarkably stable so for it to fluctuate a few degrees over a course of 25 years is not all that odd.

It's unfortunate you resorted to name calling.Look at policies implemented by Norway (one of the top 10 oil exporters). they pay $7 a gallon! (use wikipedia)Alternate energy is only part of the equation; other part is energy conservation. We need both to succeed.I am familiar with your desire to hear a V8 rumble but I don't think you're being realistic. Global warming doesn't care what produces CO2, bio fuels in many ways are worse for the environment than fossil fuels.good luck
