does anyone know if its legal to just play music from artists in your cd collection on a homemade internet radio station? i want to start an internet radio station,but im afraid of playing some artists. ive already started asking each one permission but i have no clue what the laws are

Yeah this is a huge problem. You need you to call your local rep and ask them to cosponser the bill HR 2060. I did it! If you listen to internet radio, it's the right thing to do.

you want the music, you pay for it.imagine a company invests millions in a band, then everyone steals thier music and they lose money, no more music.anyone against the artist getting paid thier share is a thief.we are talking about .008 cents a song

This could be a blessing in disguise. Online stations could broadcast music by independent record labels and artists. Radio might actually improve and the little guy would have a better chance of getting into the business. |
