nice to see the boys - who cares if it's synched? This is a great tune - it reminds me of the growing maturity of a youth movement that still sheds echoes across time. rock on, kids... Peace.

You know what would make it amazing? If it actually were live and not a recording, hahaha.

One little trivia bit to add--I don't believe Mike Clarke played drums on the record--it was Jim Gordon, session ace, later of Derek & the Dominos, who won a Grammy for co-writing Song of the Year ("Layla"--the limpid Unplugged version that didn't even use Gordon's piano melody that comprised "part 2" of that song), but was unable to attend due to the fact that he was in a psych unit several years after obeying the voices in his head that ordered him to murder his mother. True!

No doubt, this is the best version of this tune - the vocal harmony, the haunting background conjuring up mental images of years ago. Would like to go back in time to visit.

My favorite songs by the Byrds....Mr Tambourine Man, Turn Turn Turn & Eight Miles High. I also liked McGuinn, Clark & Hillman's Don't You Write Her Off from 1979.This pop version of Goin' Back is OK.Dusty Springfield takes the cake on this song with her powerful moving voice...no comparison.

This is great! I just read the part in the Gene Clark biography of when he briefly rejoined the group, then I see this video. Great timing!

This clip just reeks of the sixties. Even the cameraman's getting in on the act. I love the polite applause at the end. Very gentle stuff, but with an amazing message.

Nice rendition but Dusty Springfield's version is the definitive one and ranks among the most beautiful songs ever.

This is a good version, even though I consider this Dusty Springfield's song (partially it's my favorite, and I now think of her funeral when I hear it) |
