i was a massive boyzone fan i followed the band everywhere.i am english and my family moved to Dublin in 1994 when i was 15. they are very different ireland and england,they are in the Euro,they have different social welfare system, different employment laws etc.i have lived in both countries for 15 years. Boyzone are irish,although shane and stephen live in the UK now.Shane has lived in UK for 12yrs though LOL this was shot in London infront of a screen in 1996. the african shots were separate

It seems that you're right about the Ireland thing, not that it means anything. As boybands go, they are perfectly fine (not that that's saying much). I said that the video is pretentious crap. I have nothing against the band per se. Lots of artists put out pretentious crap now and then, even very talented ones.

"in no way connected" except for of course sharing a border, language and culture. Pretty sure you can use Euro in UK too. But who cares, has nothing to do with the point that the video is crap. This was 10 years ago. Hopefully they've outgrown such nauseating pretension by now. You know as well as I do that they used those kids as PROPS.

if ur going to act a mouth,then at least get it right.Boyzone are from Ireland.the republic of ireland.which is in no way connected to the uk.although the north of ireland is part of the uk.the south (republic) it is a country on its own.Currency is euro.the uk use sterling.some people are so ignorant.and do u know if boyzone met these children or not?do u know if boyzone cared or not?no you do not know any of this,so dont go mouthing about something which you have no facts to prove.

LOL - way to skirt around the point! They are from the UK and that is the same as far as I'm concerned. Wales, Ireland, Scotland - all different provinces on a couple of tiny islands. The point is they are not African, and they don't know the name of a single one of the kids they exploited for this video. They may be decent guys with reasonably good voices, but this vid is pretentious phony crap.

They're a British boyband. A bunch of privileged white rich guys. What the hell do they have to do with Africa? Even the lyrics- "I've seen the rain fall in Africa" - Even if it's true, so freaking what? It's meaningless feelgood tripe. Taping some kids and using them in a music vid to make yourself look good is bogus unless you help their community pay them royalties for being in it, and I'll bet they didn't. How many of them are dead ten years later? Do you think Boyzone go visit them?
