yeah, I was there---Oct. 25, 1985---when the "health dept." in NY changed everything at the St. Marks baths. Menergy was playin that night, it was already an old song. Memories of all that stuff in lower Manhattan---trucks, Anvil, Alex in Wonderland, Mineshaft---makes ya wonder why there wasn't a club called Menergy (more catchy than Limelight or Palladium, eh?). Hope your newphew didn't kill you, instead be grateful to live in an era where life partner/uncle's best wishes matter!

Racecar-driving, that sure sounds typically gay! It just shows that music is in the ear of the beholder. For me it's just really good electro(-disco). Didn't know this artist before.

I can not listen this song without shivering.For me Patrick Cowley is the King. As Elvis for the rock and roll fans.Some years ago I've seen a report-film of Pet Shop Boys.They called the music of P.C. dangerous! They said, that to listen P.C. during driving car, the driver pushes the gas more and more. The rhythm of song, the great melody and the mood and feeling comes through the music. I feel it too. I'm in trance with Cowley. I pull up the volume...pushing gas, so really dangerous.
