Monotheistical religions are a serious threat to a sane consciousness. It is a right for free born humans to use consciousness altering substances and a habit of mankind that existed eversince. Evidence? Found in the graves of our forefathers. Why should we have less rights than them ? No reason for that. Sexuality is instrumentalised by monotheistic religions for their purposes. Let's go spiritual - not religious.

Let me clarify that Socrates bravery, his seeming disregard for his own life, so impressed the Spartans, professional soldiers who spent their lives in the military beginning at the age of 7, that they spared his life. So, as Socrates envisioned, which is one thing, he also had the courage to back it up, quite another.

Education. A type of education trains the Prince to take his rightful position in the place of his father the King thus resulting in master and slave tyrannies. The second type of education supposes, from the point of view of the midwife philosopher Socrates -- a serving teacher -- that the mind of a slave can be taught to improve itself. This was a unique point in civilization where courage, Socrates was spared by the Spartans, and intelligence, he was Socrates after all, came together.

Unfortunately the legalizing of drugs/alcohol does not cut down on the numbers of drunkards etc. It is not in the legalizing of drugs that free man to pursue happiness. It is in the education of man. Naive to assume that all people are anywhere near the level of consciousness to be wise. Internet porn is everywhere. This has not reduced sexual addiction. It has only allowed the lower conscious mind to wallow in intoxication of the flesh, rather than be set free and honor the spirit.
