Every generation has stated that the past generation was better. Every generation has had its suck music that, in the end, did not amount to much. The problem is the weak music drowning out the talent that is there. I will go on the record to state rappers like Tupac do have talent but happen to be surrounded by morons.U2 was/is amazing still. But would I say that Men Without Hats is even with them? Nope. It all comes to generational interpretation.

No, today's music IS crap! Let me come out and say it. The eighties were a great time for music and I still listen to almost ANY music from that period, and I'm a rabid metalhead. Back then artists put some effort into creating melodies and harmonies that made their efforts special. Nowadays anyone with Pro-tools and a turntable makes music. Wonder why the music industry is dropping in sales? It's not because of computers and internet; it's because of poor artistic input.Toto rocks, btw!

No, most of it is crap. Even if you don't like the style of music, it has less artistic creativity and is just done to please the record company. What you hear on the radio, anyway. There are some good artists that aren't as well known. |
