Its glass, sharp objects obviously wont puncture it. Rub it on the corner of some concrete and it will scratch. But yeah your correct its not as fragile as everyone says, just one of those "too good to be true so something has to be wrong with it".

mine has a huge scratch on it and i dont even know how it got there.. obviously you can scratch it somehow

Too bad the back of it scratches really bad! That's why I got a GOLD Replacement Back for my 1st Gen iPod Touch. It's an easy install, and the only difference you can see is the color. wow that was not real if it was there woulda been a scratch ill give him a hundred dollars if he can show that to me in person, and beside you can put scratch proof spray on glass like that
