Callas maybe doesn't have impressive vocal abilities like Sutherland, but there is something in her voice that reminds me of Pavarotti. First, she has very distinctive voice. Second, her voice is very enveloping and suggestive. Third, when she sings I have a feeling that the aria is being performed only for me. These qualities are God-given and you can't teach them. Because of that I find these two artists probably the most gifted opera singers. Their voices have phenomenal charisma.

Si es verdad forzó mucho la voz para cantar un montón de roles que no se le ajustaban. Y abusó de sus graves y sus agudos siempre que pudo. El final de su carrera fue verdaderamente una vergüenza lírica, te acrodás que no pudo terminar la Tosca ninguna de las dos veces. Es la única soprano que pasó por eso.

Dear fshlomit,That`s from Puccini`s Madame Butterfly. This aria is called "un bel di, vedremo". That means "one day we will see again". It would take too long to explain what the opera is about but try to get the story via the internet or elsewhere, go to the theatre, listen to it and you will fully understand.
