His exploitation by the music industry is what escalated it to a full-feldged habit and addiction. That and his stomach condition, which he thought might be treatable through herione. Underground bands get lots of fans and Nirvana rose as an underground band in an emerging innovation in rock music, not really mainstream until Nevermind came out in 91. If you enjoy music, then MAKE the music you enjoy. When was the last time a band came ou that was good!?

Are you an idiot? Kurt Cobain did hard drugs way before nirvana was even thought about, it also was not the sole reason he killed himself, it was a culmination of his relationship with courtney, his parents and most importantly as a result his self loathing. Without the industry, we get less new bands, less new bands = less 'artistic expression' and enjoyment for everyone else. Without the music industry, I doubt you would have ever have even heard of Kurt.

The music industry exploits everyone on Earth with a pair of ears. Why should we care about their industry. Music comes and goes without a record contract. I play and write music wih a band all the time and it's for fun and artistic expression. There's more important things in life than a shriveling music industry. They;re the reason people like Kurt Cobain killed themselves and did hard drugs. Real artists not sellouts like most modern so-clled "rock" groups...

Lol. Technically speaking you can get the music for 'free' but you are paying for your Internet Connection - so THEORETICALLY it's not free - only VIRTUALLY.However, we are exploited by the Music industry at the same time.I don't believe people should have millions and billions. What's the point in being extremely wealthy? You'd get bored.Fame, Power and Money are only for those who are attention seeking morons. However, some of these ATTN seekers are out there for the good of teh people.
