heyy i also have a question for you. i have my pc connected to my tv. i also want to use my tv speakers for my audio source. i have the audio cable you are talking about. the one with the red and white jack. but on my tv, there are a lot of inputs for that kind of cable and i cant seem to find the right one. none of them have the sound coming out. and no my speakers arent muted or anything. help? Well from what I see the only thing leaving your pc and going to your tv is the image. To get the sound to come out of your speakers you need an audio cable. With one jack on one side, and a red and white jack on the other side. This will provide you with stereo sound. Let me know if it works for you.

Is it possible to use the TV speakers for sound instead of the computer speakers? I've connected everything correctly (using DVI to HDMI), like is there a way to set it up so that the TV uses the speakers for sound rather than the PC's? I'm been trying different ways but I can't seem to get that to work

What do you mean scan an IP?You can get your own IP address by typing, "ip config". You can ping a website or IP address to check your connection with "ping #"
