I wonder what is this song about. It seems to me about the hard life in military. If I was a man I want to be a soldier because I am the great patriot and so many wars and tragedies touched my country in the past. I want to protect my motherland. I get used to bad treatment.

I remember back in the 80's when I was stationed in Germany, they used to play this song all the time at the discos. There's a German version out there, but they played both, i think! I was very drunk the whole tour.
