The Wild Mouse was the best! I couldn`t believe it when they sold it. I think that was due to financial problems, which was the beginning of the end. So sad.

1990 was the last year for the Wild Mouse.

When was the last year the Wild Mouse was at the park? I thought it was in the 80's, but I could be wrong. Very, very sad what has happened to the park. I had very nice memories of the place, growing up. Westinghouse Tranformer Division in Sharon PA had it's annual picnics there every August in the 50's, 60's and 70's. I was just a kid then, going with my parents, cousins, and friends. Old home movies will be all that remain for me, plus these old movies on here.

5/7/08 The park was used in the last weeks of April for shooting a scene in the upcoming apocolyptic based movie "The Road" starring Viggo Mortenson and Charlize Theron. Though the now defunct park and burnt ballroom were perfect backdrops, it is a sad final use of a place I remember fondly from my childhood.

WOW! What a great video. I grew up in Meadville, PA, worked at CLP summer of 85-87those were the best times ever, met so many awesome people that I will never ever forget, we may not keep in touch, but I will always have those memories. I can't believe some burned down the Ballroom, I pray that this park can be saved!! Does anyone remember the Hell Hole? I used to do handstands against the wall before it started up, that was so fun!!

More and more classic parks are closing each year. It makes me sick when I hear of a perfectly good coaster torn down to make way for a condo development. Amusement parks aren't necessarily for entertaining people anymore. Most companies just operate them for money. Sad, sad, sad. :( |
