Ahh actualy they dontThe Cell Processor in the PS3 (Which is 7 Cores running at 2.3 GHz per core) Is a Power PC Prosessor.

The PowerPC was better, and in my opinion it still is. However, the future PowerPC processor is not suitable inside a personal computer. That's why they transitioned.
