what the hell are u talking about. It was originally written in D. Jerry pretty much never changed the chord progression (D A Bm F# G# D G A). He only added speed and metal style to it (plus a part when he changed the key to Dm, well not exactly Dm but close).

That sounds like you have been using a drum machine, you should get a real drummer to speed it up a little, give a extra push i you know what i mean?

its not drop D, its E, its called canon in D becasue the original classical composition was written in D major hence canon in D
boodist32 (October 7, 2008 at 4:15 am)

(adding to my other comment) we also played pachelbell's canon on guitar, its a lot more mellow and chill.lke i said, jerry made Canon in D(Canon Rock),not pachelbell
thenewpunkrockkid (October 7, 2008 at 4:08 am)
yes, jerry did.Pachelbell wrote pachelbell's canon, jerry rearranged it on guitar, dropped it to D tuning, and made different riffs. hense the name Canon in D, or Canon Rock. and rock wasnt arround 200-300 years ago when pachelbell was alive,it was made as a classical piece. we studied pachelbell for 2 weeks in my guitar class in 7th grade(im in 9th now) |
