This video being 2 years old at this point still shows that windows is very slow and needs to be put down. Windows can not compete with the graphic capabilities of OpenGL, which just happens to be the primary graphics processor of Mac's as well.

Well, I should explain what I was saying. You CAN get them to work great, *I* find it more difficult as you have to use the restricted drivers, and they (the drivers) have never worked that well for me when using ATI cards. But you could try using "EnvyNG" as it tends to sort out the problems for some people.

It can be run under wine with no problems using an nVidia card. ATI cards don't work as well under linux.

The thing that amazes me the most, is that this video is only 1½ year old and still, that version of Ubuntu seems pre-historic. Tells you a bit about just how fast Linux, Compiz and so forth is being developed...
