Congrats, Kellie!Kellie Pickler, America's small town sweetheart, sings the song she co-wrote about her mom who left when she was two.This is one of Kellie's best performances ever of "I Wonder." The Country Music Award audience gave a standing ovation after Kellie tearfully spoke the words, "I'm in Tennessee." Kellie's little brother Eric was crying as Kellie's best friend from Albemarle held him up so he could see his big sister above the crowd. My dad left not just me but my brothers too. Every time I hear this song my heart goes out to Kellie b/c I too know the pain of a parent's abandonment. It rips you to your core, you wonder what was wrong w/ me that they left. I know now that his leaving had nothing to do w/ me but nonetheless it still hurts. I miss my dad a great deal and would welcome him into my life w/ open arms. I so just a hug from my dad!

I know how she feels. My father bailed on me at 11 and I never heard from him again. I am 37 now with two teenage sons of my own. I can't imagine what could make any person walk away from their children. BUT. Through Jesus Christ we are forgiven. She should forgive her mother. That does not mean she has to have a relationship with her. But she must be Christ like and forgiver her. God blees you all.
