He doesn't want offend Republicans by stating that he endorsed Obama. I believe he will vote for Obama, but he wants people to vote one way or the other because of him. Unlike me, I have no problem saying that I will vote for Obama, because he will be a better leader than John McCain. McCain is my war hero, but he proved time and time again showing poor judgement by picking Palin, suspended his campaign, voted for the Bailout Bill, but asking Bush to veto it the next day. ????

I have great respect for Mr. Powell. But I didnt see this as any kind of Obama endorsement. I dont think he would not vote for McCain just because he is Army and McCain is Navy. or not vote for Obama just because Obama is a Marxist.

In my case, I will vote Obama this time around. Although Powell may yet commit to the Republicans, a man with his service is speaking volumes by not blindly commiting to McCain off the cuff. Whatever decision he makes, I respect his opinion as its a well thought out, carefully calculated and logical decision in his own mind. I beleive he will vote Obama and people need to reflect on hsi current stance and celebrate his commitment to the nation. Obama 08

Powell is a true American. In my time working as an advisor- dealing with all nations- Powell held the greatest respect among world leaders. People respected him because they felt he had sound judgement, was a man of conviction but with high priciples and character. Colin once again demonstrates this by not committing blindly to one candidate or another. It simply defies common sense to blindly vote, election- eclection out- with one party. Policies, circumstances and parties change....
