Great song! Has anyone heard the cover version that The Satellites of Love have done? Total class, as is this song. Thanks for posting.

Actually, that 'dude' is John Crawford the founder of the band and writer of this song. (Now a born again christian, married, owns a 'mad science' franchise) Besides it was the era of androgony. Girls and boys often dressed alike regardless. Sexuality didn't have a lot to do with it. Hope this isn't a repeat after 639 other comments!
