Very amazing, I remember seeing a video about Elephants playing music in Thailand. I wonder if this video is also filmed in Thailand. I wish I took pictures and video of Elephants when I was in Thailand. I guess I will have to remember that the next time I return!

this video makes me feel terrible. the implications of this video are enormous. painting and art of any kind are obviously higher level brain functions. these animals are being killed but they are obviously more than just stupid animals. you kill a dear and it has no high brain functions so it cares about survival. but an elephant obviously has something more than that. they may not have empathy and such but this is amazing

Hate to be the one to break this to you...the movie "E.T." wasn't real either. Do you ever see the WHOLE elephant painting? Yes, you see it at first...then no..just a trunk, or a almost believable cover over an arm. do some more research. Even if an elephant could do a self portrait...could an animal who is only able to recognize two colors really do it with depth?
