theres no argument over that fact, but they said it was even impossible with a compound bow and current arrows because the wobbled too much. what is impossible is to split a wooden arrow with a primitive hunting bow.

Maybe Robin Hood did split an arrow but that would be like an almost impossible odd to achieve.

The myth is about Robin Hood splitting a wooden arrow with another wooden arrow and a primitive bow. They are using high tech compound bow and a composite arrow. Besides they removed the rear cap thing of that target arrow.

one other thing, the mythbusters also said that it would be IMPOSSIBLE with BOTH kinds of arrows because the arrows wobbled too much when they were fired, again debunking the myth.

one thing chuckshissle, you called the arrows bows and second, the mythbusters used BOTH kinds of ARROWS, so technically, these guys confirmed the myth.

The myth involves with a wooden bow. Not a hollow aluminum or carbon fiber bow that we use today. Splitting a wooden bow in half is much harder as no one have done it.
