And nobody is denying Gary and his skills, he is quite good, but Hendrix was, is and will always be a lot better.Yes, there have been many guitar players since Hendrix's death, and some that are very good, but still, nobody touches and nobody compares to Hendrix. Hendrix was way ahead of his time and the way he played the guitar changed popular music forever. He is an icon, legend, inovator, guitar god, genius, and the best ever. A fact, like it or not.A video like Machine Gun says it all.

For the record I agree that Jimi Hendrix was a legend. He was great. BUT.. if he wasn't dead he wouldn't have all these people elevating him to godhood. Eric Clapton was every bit as good as Jimi and they both respected each other immensely. I won't buy a guitar magazine that has a "What if Hendrix had lived?" article in it! Unlike many of my peers I moved on after Jimi died. Of the two, Eric played with far more precision and Gary has taken that and fed it steroids and three steaks a day!

You know what it does not really matter what you think, you think Jimi was sloppy and a drug addict let me tell you something so were the rest of them all of them had bad shows and all of them did drugs so the playing field is even and Jimi smoked them all even on his worst fucken shows and when Jimi was hittin on all 8 nobody could including Johnny Winter which he was a big drug addict TOO could do anything with Jimi Hendrix. Get outta here with that BullShit!!!!!!

Like I said before: Look with unbiased eyes. Forget it's Hendrix and see the drug addled sloppy playing for what it really is. HENDRIX DID NOT INVENT ANY OF THE TECHNIQUES HE'S FAMOUS FOR. T-Bone Walker played behind his head and with his teeth way back in the 1940s. As for not knowing what I'm talking about: I've been playing Blues since 1971 and listening to it for even longer. I've seen every great player either in the flesh in most cases or on video. I rate Johnny Winter ahead of Hendrix too

Totally nobody plays Hendrix better than Hendrix. Hendrix is the best, greatest and biggest inovator and guitar player that has ever lived. What he did and made in his short life is beyond incredible, wow and unique. One of a kind. That is why nobody can and nobody will ever match to him.

Why is it no-one's Blues knowledge ever goes back beyond Hendrix? Go back and listen to Robert Johnson, the ORIGINAL innovator. Then remember he got all that sound without a single effect pedal in sight.

Gary Moore is a great git man I think one of the most underrated git player there is and this cover is smoking hot but don't get twisted he can't play it better than Hendrix did (Hendrix Wrote Red House) and he dam sure can't sing it...... |
