Juliana's just a VOR/DME (Visual) approach). there's no ILS there. Probably because there's no room at either end of the runway for the equipment.

IGS is Instrument Guidance System. It's like an ILS but the beam is offset to the runway so it's not a landing system (since you can't follow it to the ground), it's a guidance system down to the point where you must do the landing yourself - in Kai Tak's case the right turn and short final. |
