@PereKensal, EVERY attempt to implement socialism ended in disaster. Socialism always leads to the death of democracy and eventually totalitarianism. Read FA Hayek Road to Serfdom and George Orwell's 1984. They understood.

This speech WAS very inspiring and more powerful than Reagan ever imagined it would be, Mr Gorbachev loathed the hideous Soviet machine too, though he had no idea that dickheads like Yeltsin would steal control from him before he could finish his reform of the USSR.
