check out some of the mars volta's stuff, i mean it's definitely not Yes or KC but they are pretty progressive. i dunno i like their stuff and i love the classics too. Tool's pretty prog too but not quite as out there as the mars volta or KC.

im 17 year old and i Love yes so much.I hate the new generation of music we have today but ROFLIZED, you should definitly try hard to get your son into good proper music.Im a big fan of Prog rock from the 60s and 70s but also like electronic/ambient/industial/trip hop/acid etc and nothing compares to prog rock and yes is at the top of the prog list along with king crimson, genesis etcClose to the edge is the best album of all time and yet todays music does not provide masterpieces anymore :(

It's a freakin shame Bruford quit before these films were made. They were so amazing with him, like no other band live. Just listen to where they go on Perpetual Change and long distance runaround from Yessongs. These two performances showed a glimpse of a higher peak for Yes but they crashed back to earth with White and became a slop-fest quasi-rock band. I know, too hard on them but the disappointment was monumental. Bruford's conceptualization and playing were perfect with Yes.

Yes grows on you the more you listen. It's like watching a movie with too many subplots that it takes extra viewings to get it all. But once you do it blows your mind.
