Is it really that far? Remember, Peoples Temple and the Branch Davidians used the exact same tactics (as well as shunning) on ex-members who realized the truth and got out.Also, shunning is a highly unethical, mentally abusive form of psychological torture and I'm sure any ex-member will testify to that.
