i get the 1.5mm and run it across the carpet untill it is the shape of the jazz picks but i leave a lot finer point on mine.

2mm gator grips..thickest gator grip Dunlop makes (to my knowledge) I love 'em. Check em out.

I use Dunlop Tortex .60mm picks thet are really good pretty much any style of music and they dont fall out of your hand when you play.
