its about craigs aspergers and how it has affected the relationships with his family. the reference to the spaceship is its like he might as well have come from out of space or that he might as well fly into a spaceship which means that he withdraws from his family and friends and they therefore no longer want him around. And they just drift off into their own little world that they created inside of their mind

i heard this song is about a kid that's in love with his mom.... she had him when she was fourteen, he wants to leave with her in the "spaceship".. anyone heard if that's right
