cont, from belowI've pretty much read everything he has written because of writing skills, self depricating humor, imagination and a willingness to tackle the most politically incorrect subjects. He was great, probably the best. He earned his keep by being ahead of the curve. He is an extremely bright guy but his ideas are now like the light rock station you listen to for nostalgia. Not because the songs are so great but that the times were.

The most brilliant satirest/humorist since Mark Twain. His 'Holidays in Hell' is at the very top of my bookshelf, right beside 'Innocents Abroad'. Great stuff.

Man is a genius and my favourite author. Wish he was an Aussie!

PJ O'Rourke is still America's funniest writer. Even though I am a liberal, I would like to see him run for Vice President alongside Michael Moore.

I'm from New Zealand and I'm going to Minnesota for an exchange in August, I'm really excited :D

If there's a single political writer out there sharper, smarter, or funnier than PJ, I ain't seen him yet. Republican Party Reptiles forever!

Alot of the goths, metalheads, and post-hardcore people are from the midwest. Pretty cool.

mackattack: Did I say 'Midwest nice'? I was just saying that you guys in the Midwest tend to make more sense than most people on either coast. Plus some of our best humorists, like O'Rourke, come from the Midwest. Twain, Rogers, Vonnegut, ALL were born in the Midwest.

People from the Midwest can be cool too! We're not all these mainstream "Midwest nice" people. |
